I am a candidate for Senator in Colorado Senate District-9. Are you sick and tired of the current political landscape and environment? I certainly am. That has never been my way to do business. I am not a “Politician”; however, I have always been a Problem Solver and a Leader. I ask you to support me in my bid to make a positive difference in the lives of every Coloradan in my district and state. Elect me as your next Senator in November 2026.

A Great State, a great County and a Superb District that I can make even better for the People of Senate District 9 and overlapping House Districts

You see Colorado is a wonderful state—from State corner to corner, Colorado is filled with magnificent people, families, businesses, farmers, agriculturalist, Uniformed Personnel, and “thinkers” with great ideas. No difference with El Paso County Colorado. I have talked with some of the county’s very best people you could imagine. Their thoughts and ideas are implanted within my heart and mind. Now it is time for me to be the catalyst to make this community and state even greater.

What do I believe in:

  1. My belief and trust in God is unquestionable!

  2. Democracy is Essential but the cost is not free.

  3. The ability to express ourselves without fear of retribution from our government!

  4. We are created equally in the Sight of God!

  5. Due process in the application of our Laws.

  6. Every Man, Woman, and child have a right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

  7. We are no greater than the least of those amongst us and never to stand over anyone unless giving those less privileged, a hand up!

  8. I have never Led from the Rear and never will!

  9. I address my critics. Not turn my back on those that may have a difference of Opinion.

These are the tenants forming the backbone of my life. I am a yester-year child demonstrator in the town of Sandersville, GA during the Civil Rights movement under the Leadership of Reverend Ralph D. Abernathy. I marched in peaceful protests as a child with my older sister, now deceased and my very own mother who is also deceased. My mother was arrested for demonstrating on the very day she was selected as a Teacher of the Year.

I have used my personal resources many, many times to help or house those unfortunate or down and out in their ability to support themselves. I have also supported those unfortunate to even feed themselves; on occasion providing food to those residing in “tent communities” near the Fountain Creek area. These are human beings—treat them like so. I will not delay and waste one second in helping someone in need! I have even provided my own home on special occasion to provide a place for individual(s) to rest when a means of support was not available.

So I say this; my entire life has been devoted to making things better for those around me. I know nothing more gratifying, more satisfying; more endearing than this. Now I bring that zeal with me to help lift the lives of my constituents in Senate District 9 and my surrounding community.

Lastly, when working with my Opposition, I pledge to work in decency, respect, and tolerance to listen and support ideas that are best for this community and state. Never turn my back on them but work for the best interest of you! Also, I will keep the lines of communication open with the Opposition Team to ensure continued dialog that supports you. No other way is acceptable to me.

I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force. In that position I served as a Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander, Instructor Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander and a Missile Combat Crew Commander & Senior Instructor. My primary responsibility entailed being prepared and taught other crew members how and when to launch a Nuclear Missile at an adversary once given the instructions from the President of the United States. Additionally, I was responsible for all requirements to support and maintain America’s largest ever Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on a day-to-day basis. This included propellant transfer responsibilities after being selected for additional Missile related duties. I later served as an adjunct professor at a Colorado-based, private for profit University as a business department instructor. My DoD (Department of Defense) career recently ended as a Civil Servant supporting missile defense related programs for the U.S. and over a half-dozen allied countries and territories. Having been vetted to successfully support some of the Nation’s Highest Defense related programs, I am now ready to bring that leadership experience closer to home having been nominated and accepted to run for Senator in Colorado Senate District 9.

Our future depends on the goodness and strength of our young. Just as in the attached picture below, my parents took care of me and my siblings. If you think teachers have it bad now, my parents, both teachers, struggled with substandard pay and many other societal factors that made things dire.

As your Senator, taking care of our children is one of my primary priorities. Having association with a learning center here in Colorado Springs, I am well aware of the obstacles Child Care and other learning centers face.

For the Legacy Centers here and across the country, they operate with relative ease—however there are those that do not have the luxury of operating in the most prosperous communities.

Those that operate in other communities or disadvantaged areas, many of those centers struggle day-by-day, penny-by- penny. Many of the babies and kids in these areas require state and government assistance. Those kids are completely disregarded. They are invisible.

Well my goal is to work hard to change this! These kids deserve a chance. That’s where I need your support. Please support me in my campaign to work for you as your Senator. I need you and these kids need me to help them!

Transportation, past, present, and future, is one of the priorities I want to examine as a Candidate for Senator in SD-9. A while back, while seated in the Cab of this GP-40-2 locomotive, I learned of the enormous transportation resources particularly in Southern Colorado. We should evaluate every option to optimize bus routes to maximize usage and cost. Also I urge work with other State and County leaders to connect the county to major hubs to reduce congestion on our streets and highways. Several areas in SD-9 may lend themselves to fast track connection to other parts of the county—especially the dangerous route to Schriever AFB on the far east of El Paso County. Let's awaken this process to make sure we address transportation needs across the district and county.

A Lifetime of Nationally Oriented Leadership. I am ready at home for

Senate District 9.

Issues To Fight For:

  1. Support and better pay for our Teachers

  2. Affordable Healthcare

  3. Affordable Childcare

  4. Affordable Housing

    a. To include a Renter’s Tax Relief Program

  5. Get rid of Illicit Drugs such as Fentanyl and examine impacts to our community/State

  6. Support for First Responders to include

    a. Police and Firemen

    b. Nurses (Everyday and every minute Unsung heroes)

    c. Ambulance Crews

    d. Search and Rescue

  7. Address the problems of Homelessness—we can do better than this!

  8. High Food Prices

  9. Transportation. Our ever expanding population growth has impacted our ability

to keep up with our Transportation infrastructure like Roads and Bridges. New

roads are becoming obsolete while in construction

  10. Needs of our Farmers and Agriculturalist —To include dwindling or misused water sources

  11. Plight of our poor and Low Income Population

  12. Take care of our elderly. Severely punish those at the fullest extent of the law for scams targeting

and stealing from our elderly who have given their all over the course of their lives.

  13. Needs of our Upstart & Small Businesses and continue to bring in Businesses supporting cutting

edge technology. We should be the unequivocal leader on the front range

  14. High Taxes and repeal of Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABoR)

  15. Teen Suicide (El Paso included in the top 4 counties)

  16. Additional Investment in existing and new Solar Technology & Alternate Energy Sources

  17. Support our state to restructure ICE (It has a place but as currently operating, this is not it)

  18. Help our state adopt a sensible approach to Immigration Management

  19. Support our growing VET population and Promote our Military Resources at every opportunity

This agenda represents a start on how we can make our community and our state even better. In fact my motto is,

and has always been, Colorado 1st. I definitely want to thank Bethany Winder, Sarah Emery, David Perkins,

Melanie Cress, Katie Beitanny, and Rebekah Bryson for making this campaign possible and bringing a zest for

making Colorado and our Community a better place. I also thank every member of my family both local and

across the country that have stuck by me over the past year while this purpose has begun to gel and come to life.

Now I ask your support to allow me to take each and every soul of this district to the State House in Denver in

November 2026. I am not controlled by Special Interest, or the dollars of special interest, but only by the needs

and compassion of every man, woman, and child in this district and community.
